PVC waterstop

Extruded PVC profile cast into movement and construction joints. Holds back head pressure while the joint keeps moving.

Produced by melting and forming a compound of PVC resin, stabiliser, plasticiser and antioxidant. The profile is cast into expansion and construction joints in concrete structures to make the joint watertight.

It also takes up the vibration and differential movement between adjacent pours, so the joint is allowed to work without opening a path for water.

Supplied in eleven profile types — centre-bulb, ribbed, dumbbell and tear-off variants — from 150 mm to 500 mm wide. The type is chosen from whether the joint moves, how much cover there is and what head of water it has to hold.
